Connection with CCS: As a major oil and gas producer, OMV Petrom outlined a target to store up to 2 Mt of CO2 per year, in its 2030 strategy. In 2023, it began exploring potential storage sites in the Dâmbovița region of southern Romania. It is a partner in the international research project on CCUS ConsenCUS.
