The Slovak CCS roadmap highlights the key actions which are seen as key steps to enable CCS deployment in Slovakia.
Chapter 1 introduces the CCS technology and its role in the global decarbonisation scenarios, and continues to stress its importance at the EU-level, eventually showing the up-to-date modeling scenarios of CCS deployment in Slovakia.
Chapter 2 is an executive summary of the previous CCS4CEE report on the CCS development in Slovakia and shows the past and present experience with CCS.
Chapter 3 is the core of the roadmap and includes 4 different bundles of actions ordered from A to D – Scaling up RD&D activities and building national knowledge and experience; Policy, standards, and regulations; Stakeholder engagement, cooperation & know-how dissemination and Social aspects and public support.
Chapter 4 concludes the Slovak CCS roadmap with a list of next and immediate actions that we consider the most important for CCS deployment. Those could be delivered as “no regret” actions in the short-term period.
